The FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food course is a standardized curriculum designed by the Food Safety Preventative Controls Alliance (FSPCA) in collaboration with the FDA focusing on 21 CFR Part 117 – Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food.
Become qualified to write a food safety plan during this live-virtual training session which is conducted over a three-day span and incorporates examples and exercises as part of the curriculum.
Students will learn:
- the required elements of a food safety plan
- how to assess a process for food safety hazards
- how to determine which hazards need preventive controls
This course will meet the requirements for a “preventive controls qualified individual” or PCQI, and upon successful completion, a student will earn an AFDO-issued certificate.
Students must provide a form of photo ID and have their webcam on for the entirety of the course to receive their certificate.
